Wood logging monitoring

The automated dispatch system (ADS) ProLes is intended for data collection, control, analysis and planning of business processes of a wood logging enterprise. ADS ProLES covers the processes of logging, transportation, storage of wood, formation of accompanying and accounting documents. The multi-level complex includes software deployed on servers of the company, automated work stations (AWSs) of employees created on the basis of mobile tablets, as well as regular or additional means of objective technical control installed on the equipment. At all stages of production and movement of forest products, the system provides control of wood logging and other operations, dispatching of equipment, accounting of working hours and fuel and lubricants consumption.

Implementation of this system improves the quality of management at wood logging enterprises, reduces the cost for logging and delivery of raw materials, increases fuel efficiency and completely eliminates non-purpose fuel consumption.

A primary objective is to ensure timely control over the production process in conditions of unstable Internet coverage in remote areas. To organize a continuous communication system Aeromax has implemented mobile satellite Internet reception points that provide a stable Wi-Fi signal. This allows to consolidate information from all objects of a wood logging enterprise on a common server in an online format and then issue it in a single window mode.

The ADS has integrated a convenient tool for working with forest infrastructure facilities and plots. This makes it possible to centralize information on forest exploitation contracts, production sites, responsible employees, logging statuses, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the obtained wood. Thus, the data set required for the current work is formed after the end of work, with which an up-to-date archive is created with indication of all the cutting sections of the enterprise.

For each type of equipment and transport vehicles a software is being created and implemented for further recording of basic operations, as well as data transmission from on-board systems, personal computers, electronic components and navigation terminals. In ADS enters information from the main types of equipment – harvester, forwarder and logging truck. Due to integration into the software Wialon Local the on-line monitoring of vehicles and data transmission to the ADS is provided: the equipment location, routes and fuel consumption.

Automated work stations based on tablets for key employees who organize work in the forest and at the checkpoints help to measure stacks, take into account incoming and outgoing from warehouses wood, carry out control measurement of wood at the exit point of the technological road to federal and regional highways, prepare accompanying documents for the logging truck driver.

The ADS ProLES covers the entire process of logging, transportation and storage of wood, which allows perform the on-line monitoring. The system contains information about logging areas, the location of logging equipment and vehicles, the condition of warehouses, and the volume of timber being moved. The system gives not only the current production status but also allows to upload the data required for reports generation and the built-in corporate messenger provides employees with operational communication.
