Forest management in the territory of the Nizhny Novgorod region

Field and cameral works were carried out on forest management (forest valuation estimated by sight, design of activities for protection, safety and regeneration of forests) on the lands of the forest fund in the Sergach interdistrict forest division of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

Boundaries of Special Protected Natural Areas (SPNA) according to original materials. Non-compliance with the administrative borders of the subjects of the Russian Federation and the coastline.

Beginning of works — March 2021, end — December 2021.

Forest valuation was estimated by sight – 1 survey category on an area of 36,892 hectares.

Activities for protection, safety and regeneration of forests were scheduled.

The volumes of permitted forests use were established.

In the form of Software ТоpoL-L a combined cartographic and attribute database has been created.

Operational, protective and reserve forests, especially protective areas of forests with the compilation of a catalog of turning points’ coordinates were planned.

Based on the results of forest exploitation, the forest management documentation has been compiled (explanatory note, valuation description, forest management tablets, plantation plans, schematic maps and thematic forest).

Clarification of the boundaries and coordination of the areas, existing and projected SPNA of regional significance within the approved boundaries of the district forest divisions were carried out.
